King of cling Mark Fast recruits a wig-clad Miss Lowe to model seriously sexy disco-ready dresses at his London Fashion Week show

As the lights fell, the sound of Push It by Salt N Pepa boomed out across the show space alerting guests that the party was about to start at Mark Fast’s spring/summer 2013 show today.

The disco-ready collection was modelled by British beauty Daisy Lowe, the perfect model for Fast’s signature figure-hugging knitwear.

Bra tops and micro mini dresses came in sugary sweet pastels with pops of mint and lilac throughout.

Angular bleached afro wigs perched precariously on every head, as fun an addition as the Christian Louboutin shoes teamed with bright pink pop socks.
While the collection will not create as much controversy as the autumn/winter 2010 show when the Canadian-born designer's decision to include size 12 and size 14 plus-sized models left several fashion critics appalled, it does show that he knows his strengths and plays to them.

‘Hot Parisian nights, broken hearts and boisterous thumping beats’ inspired the celebratory collection and it will thrill party girl fans of Fast, who we are likely to see shimmying on the dance floor in the designs soon.
Kelly Brook, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo star Noomi Rapace and singer Kate Nash were sat front row but it was pop princess Pixie Lott, with beau Oliver Cheshire in tow, who seemed most captivated by the collection.

23-year-old model Daisy Lowe, who is no stranger to being snapped in one of Mark’s creations on a night out, proved the perfect party girl to showcase the line.
It’s fun, flirty and will make wearers want to shake their hips late into the night.
Ahead of the show, however, it was not the designs Miss Lowe was heard worrying about - they fit her like a glove - she was concerned, instead that her lipstick was not quite right.
The clothes themselves, though, were made for dancing and we're sure the bombshell beauty can't wait to test them out.

Tory Burch Spring 2013 Collection

Have a nosey at the newest Tory Burch spring 2013 collection presented during New York Fashion Week and get ready to discover an array of practical, utterly feminine and youthful pieces.

Yes, we know that we are still waiting for the cold-weather season, but since Fashion Week began and we've seen some uber-cool stunners, we had to share them with you as well. So, we stumbled upon Tory Burch's spring 2013 collection and remained completely hooked. "Spring 2013 is about the American prep remix. We were thinking about a stylish magpie who picks up special pieces while traveling around the world and always mixes them with classic sportswear," Tory says.

Stylish and wearable, the designer's latest collection is rife with practical, feminine and youthful pieces. "So there is guipure lace and tie-dye or making a polo shirt into an evening dress, and then pairing it with Moroccan slippers," Burch explained. The line features tie-dye dresses and skirts, shorts, tops, jackets, uber-hip and comfy slippers, and beautifully printed and embellished bags.

Oh, and that dress at the end of the show! Absolutely fabulous! Tory, who loves to travel, revealed that a trip to Morocco in June inspired the final look. "I thought it was a new way to do evening, taking a polo shirt and then turning it into an evening dress and pairing it with Moroccan slippers. It's a little more laid-back elegance," the designer told ELLE.com.

Models had a natural makeup, with luminous complexion and no color to the cheeks. "We’ve done a no-makeup makeup look — really fresh skin, a little bit of lip balm, contoured the eye with a soft grease, gray eyeshadow and filled in the eyebrows," says Diane Kendal.

As for the hair, we are head over heels with those achingly lovely soft, pulled-apart fishtail braids, one in the front and another in the back. "I felt like the girl had been traveling, she’s in the environment and these braids have fallen a little apart, so there’s this romance and organic quality to them. I wanted it to feel very loose and textured, almost like wheat. I wanted to see the little imperfections — there’s a sensuality to it," Eugene Souleiman explained.

Candy colours and Sixties silhouettes take centre stage at Kate Spade's New York Fashion Week presentation

Kate Spade is known for her bright colours and bold prints, and for spring/summer 13, the label looks to have given its signature style a retro spin.
Models in wide-brim floppy hats, white shades and gleaming quiffs struck their poses among scaffolding for the label's New York Fashion Week presentation today.
The Fifties and Sixties are where head designer Deborah Lloyd seems to have taken her style lead, effortlessly mixing neon pinks and yellows with pastel mint and graphic monochrome.

Indeed such contrasts would have looked a mess at the hand of a less experienced designer, but Ms Lloyd knows her aesthetic well, and masters the clashing hues like the pro she is.
Of course, it certainly didn't hurt that the show was styled by Rachel Zoe's former assistant Brad Goreski - not only a respected stylist in his own right now, but also a reality star.
Uncompromisingly feminine, waists were worn high and slung with slim leather belts.
Lace sweaters were teamed with floral prints, while bow motifs and Peter Pan collars made for cuter-than-cute finishing touches.

The inspiration for the collection, Ms Lloyd told the LA Times, was 'things we love'.
She says she referenced the Ormond Gigli photograph, Girls in Windows, as well as flowers of all varieties, something she has long loved.
'I would have been a florist if I hadn't become a designer,' she admitted.

Of course, this being Kate Spade, accessories played a major role. Clutches came in the shape of radios and sunglasses, while day bags were at the smaller end of the scale with long straps and classic boxy shapes.
Models' wrists and even fingers had lacquered sunglasses and bows adorning them, while shoes, all at towering heights, included strappy patent sandals and dapper peep-toe brogues.
Though Pippa Middleton is a fan of the label - she has been toting a wicker Kate Spade bag around New York all week - she didn't make an appearance at the presentation.

It was attended by Lauren Conrad, however, who arrived in a dress from the label's brand new collaboration with French fashion blogger Garance Dore.
Jamie Chung was also among the stars present, carrying an updated version of Miss Middleton's bag in buttery black-and-taupe leather.
